Hi and thanks to Lauren for the invite. Don't believe my profile, I'm from germany not from america. I got no idea how to change this little error, but what the hell.
I'm not a fan of these boring "I'm finally here etc." first posts, so I will get straight into business.
Before I tell you about the glory that was last night, look at what was in the mail last thursday
Yes I'm a big Dtoid fan. I just love the humor of the site. And they are a bunch of really great people.
I don't want to (well basicly I do) blow my own trumpet, but this t-shirt design was actually done by me. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. And excited. Just made a wallpaper for fun, and they turn it into a shirt. W00t! Thanks again Rev and Niero!
And I'm pleased to hear that you like it, Lauren. ^^
Ok, moving on. Had a great evening. Like in not at all. I went to a concert in Stuttgart, with a "internet friend" of mine, which is known by night as [fana7ic] (aka the first german guy on dtoid. ...I'm number 2). Was nice to meet hm in the flesh, cool guy. Well as I said we went to a concert. Sort of. More like, I don't know. Rave. But I didn't have fun. The place was called Rocker 33. Not too shaby little indie club. We went to see a group called Digitalism. From what I heard they are quite a number in the business. They do elctro-house. And they seem to be a bunch of douches. They kept us waiting for 2 hours and only played for only 1 1/2. WTF! 15€ for this crap! Ok, they were good, but I was so pissed at this point that I really didn't care. But the best part came after the show. I got seperated from [fana7ic] and his friend Markus, when everybody was rushing out. While I was still getting my bag, they went ahead, thinking that I had already went home. My cell phone was in said bad, so I couldn't call him. Ok, he hadn't mett me before, so he wouldn't know that I whouldn't had left without saying goodbye.
After getting my bag and getting out, I called him, told him what happened and told him that it whould be better for me to head home while I'm still capable of driving. It was 4 in the morning at that point.
I live in Speyer, that's about 120 km (or about 74 miles for you yankees) by car. Ca. 1 1/2 hours. If nothing goes wrong.
I needed 6.
But it was my own fault. No traffic jams or anything. I just have a terrible sense of orientation. REALLY bad. I went in the wrong direction for 1 1/2, wondering why my departure was nowhere in sight. Plus I needed some sleep inbetween.
D'oh!
Well that was my crappy night. Feel free to laught at me in the comments.
